While taking my family on vacation to Orlando, I learned about a missing Florida 3 year old little girl named Caylee Anthony. 3 year old Caylee Anthony has been missing since June 9th 2008, and wasn’t reported missing since July 15th 2008. The police were not notified of the disappearance of Caylee Anthony until July 15th, and that’s only because Casey’s mother, Cindy Anthony, discovered the toddler was missing and called 911.

There are many incriminating circumstances in this case that point towards Casey Anthony. The investigation still continues almost 3 months later. Casey’s story is that she left Caylee with a nanny before she disappeared, but no one has lived in the address she gave the police for several months, and Casey Anthony has shown almost no emotion throughout this entire ordeal.

A blood stain was found in the trunk of a car belonging to Casey Anthony and police immediately established a link between the missing girl and the mother.

Sacramento bounty hunter Leonard Padilla made national headlines when he traveled to Florida to post bail for Casey Anthony. Padilla says he no longer believes that the girl is still alive, and he is now talking about the possibility of withdrawing Casey’s bail and sending her back to jail. 400 pages of investigation evidence have been released, painting a dismal picture of a search effort that now sounds like a recovery. The most damning evidence came from Casey Anthony’s trunk, where a brand new air test showed evidence of human decomposition.

Facts about the Caylee Anthony case:

(fact or fiction?) On June 9th Casey Anthony said that she dropped Caylee off at a babysitter who lived at the Sawgrass Apartments. She said the baby sitter’s name was Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez.

On June 12th George Anthony says Caylee was spotted by friends of the Anthony family in a shopping area near the Orange Seminole county lines. She was wearing a pink and blue outfit and white rimmed sunglasses.

June 15th Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony, said this day was the last time she saw Caylee when they went to visit her father at an assisted living facility on Father’s Day.

On June 18th is the day that Casey Anthony borrowed a shovel from her neighbor, then the neighbor saw her back her car up into the driveway.

On June 24th, Casey was back at her parents’ house, and her father wanted to get something out of the trunk of her car that he was going to use to do some work on another car. George Anthony then finds some gas cans that he had previously reported stolen from the shed in the backyard.

(fact or fiction?) June 25th A witness said he had talked to Casey on the phone on June 25th and that he heard Caylee in the background. The witness said that at one point in the conversation Casey told Caylee to get down from the table.

On June 27th was when Casey abandoned her car in a parking lot of the Amscot store on Goldenrod Road and Colonial Drive.

On June 30th the car was towed from the lot. And during this time, Casey and Caylee were not seen by the grandparents.

July 15th Casey Anthony’s parents get a registered letter, telling them about the car that had been towed on June 30th.  Cindy Anthony, tracked down her daughter on this day, and asked where Caylee was, then made a series of strange 911 calls.

July 16th Police talk to Zenaida Gonzalez who says she does not know Casey Anthony. Police also take Casey to Universal Studios where she said she worked. After leading them to a building, she admitted she was no longer employed there. And the car found abandoned is picked up by the Anthony family from the wrecker company.

July 17th The Sheriff’s Office takes possession of the car and finds evidence of possible human decomposition. The car is sent to the forensics bank and start to search the backyard of the Anthony house. Casey Anthony is officially charged with child neglect, lying to investigators and interfering with a criminal investigation.

August 7th Investigators say a call Casey said she got on July 15 in which Caylee talked to her probably didn’t happen. Phone records show there was no call to Casey’s cell phone at the time the call was supposed to have taken place.

I have been very hopefull in the fact that Caylee Anthony would be found, but this case seems to get stranger and stranger, with lie after lie from the mother to the police. I just pray for the best, and know that many children go missing everyday, and don’t want the Caylee Anthony Case to be the only one mentioned here.
