As we recently reported, The great comedian Bernie Mac died on Saturday August 9th 2008. The Bernie Mac funeral at house of hope, was just as expected, as hundreds of comedian friends gathered to pay their respects, and celebrate his life.

As friends and family gathered around the bernie mac casket, other comedians such as Cedric the entertainer, Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, and D.L. Hughley. Bernie Mac’s memorial service was held at House of Hope in Chicago on Saturday, August 16, 2008.

The Chicago White Sox organization, Bernie Mac’s beloved baseball team, presented his widow Rhonda with a jersey bearing his name and the number one. Bernie Mac’s real name is Bernard Jeffrey MCCullough.

Bernie Mac was well known for not being afraid to touch on subject matter or issues that everyone else is politically scared of, and will definitely be missed. Rest In Peace Bernard.

Fellow comedian/actor Isaac Hayes died one day later. Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes were both working on a new movie “Soul Men”.
